Giggles work closely with Rugby tots, offering weekly rugby sessions, which the children love! See the Rugby Tots story.

Cookery Club - At Giggles we provide cookery classes to all children. This teaches children about the importance of healthy eating, lifestyles, different food types, and cultures. Children enjoy exploring food and cooking, this provides many learning opportunities such as exploring textures, senses, colours, flavours to reading, communicating, teamwork, measuring, and developing fine motor skills.

At Giggles, we provide children with the opportunity to participate in Yoga classes every day. Yoga has many benefits for children such as giving them confidence, promoting being healthy, improves concentration, reduces any worries, improves balance, and introduces mindfulness. 

Giggles Gardening club provides children with the opportunity to develop a love and sense of care for the environment around them. In our Giggles Garden children participate in planting our own fruit, vegetables, and plants, taking care of them, and observing them as they grow. This provides the children with a sense of responsibility, achievement, teamwork, and many learning opportunities.

At Giggles we celebrate inclusivity and have a Makaton sign of the week, using these in our daily practice. Makaton helps children to communicate, using signs and symbols. Makaton coincides with spoken language and is used with speech. These help children who may be non-verbal or have English as an additional language to communicate with one another. 

Dough disco is a favourite and has many developmental benefits. We dance to music and use small and large movements with the playdough to enhance our hand eye coordination, self esteem, fine and gross motor skills.

At Giggles we try to do our bit for the environment around us. We promote the use of recycling, upcycling where we can and to minimise waste. Our preschool children are fantastic at helping us to recycle within the room. We are educating the children to separate food waste and recycle cardboard and dry goods. We also have our own “Giggles Garden” where we grow our own fresh fruit and vegetables to use in our cooking and cookery classes. 

Each month Giggles celebrates a different country. This provides children with the opportunity to be exposed to the wider world and communities around them. We celebrate different cultures, religions and beliefs. We explore the foods, animals, landscapes, houses, traditional clothing, language and music.

Our Morley site is located next to Little Munchkins soft play. Each month we take all of our children for a play time within the soft play facility.

At Giggles we like to form relationships with local homes. We believe “combining generations” is a powerful resource and important to child development.
